Man o' War at 100
Man o' War at 100, Contemporary Racing Gallery.
On display from March 29, 2017 through February 3, 2019.
A legend was born one hundred years ago, and his legacy lives on today. Man o' War raced to the pinnacle of American Thoroughbred racing with the help of a handful of fellow Hall of Fame members, including his breeder, trainer and three of his four jockeys.
Join the National Museum of Racing as we celebrate the centennial of his birth with our special exhibition, Man o' War at 100. Featuring photographs and artifacts from the Museum Collection, in addition to items on loan, this exhibition traces the story of the original "Big Red," from his early days on Belmont's Nursery Stud in Lexington, Ky., to his racing days and retirement at Faraway Farm, with emphasis on his Hall of Fame connections and contribution to the sport of Thoroughbred racing in America.
