Main Lobby

Visitors may enter the Museum from the Union Avenue entrance or from the parking area off Ludlow Street. At the reception desk, friendly visitor services staff provide information and admission is available for purchase. Directly behind the reception desk is an impressive display of trophies won by Paul Mellon's Rokeby Stable.

At the Union Avenue entrance, the Museum recognizes Paul Mellon’s dedication and contributions to the Museum and the sport of thoroughbred racing as well as in the main entry the generosity and support of the William Stamps Farish Fund, Mr. and Mrs. William S. Farish, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. Gerry.

The Alfred Z. and Nancy Solomon Gift Shop, located in the Museum lobby, offers a wide variety of items which appeal to racing enthusiasts of all ages. The shop features a fine selection of equine art, jewelry, gifts, books, movies, apparel, and children’s items.
