Featuring “Saratoga Saturdays” handicapping with Tom Amello and Trackfacts at 10:40 a.m. Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

“Born to Rein” film showing and reception: Featuring the life of Nebraska horsemen and Hall of Fame members John A. Nerud and father-and-son Marion and Jack Van Berg. Nerud, a Navy veteran and one of America’s most accomplished and revered thoroughbred trainers and breeders, co-founded the prestigious Breeders’ Cup. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972. Marion Van Berg was the nation’s leading owner in racing victories 14 times and was the first Nebraskan inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1970.

Backstretch Babies Drop-In Program: Offered for young children two years old and younger, these weekly programs during the Saratoga racing season will feature a short story or activity followed by free play with our sensory-friendly toys. When: Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. from July 10 through Aug. 28. Cost: Free with a paid adult admission.

Travers Stakes Preview Panel: Top racing handicappers analyze the field for the 150th running of the Travers Stakes. Time: 11 a.m. Cost: Included with Museum admission.

Children’s Program: “Build a Travers Stakes Trophy:” Prepare for Saratoga’s 150th running of the Travers Stakes race by going on a Museum scavenger hunt for trophies and related objects then decorate a small trophy of your own. Recommended for children ages 3 through 8. Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cost: Free with paid adult admission.

Travers Eve Wine and Cheese Social: Celebrate the racing season at the Museum on the eve of the 150th running of the Travers Stakes. Enjoy refreshments in the Museum’s Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney Courtyard with fellow Museum members and racing enthusiasts. Featuring a book signing for “The Travers: 150 Years of Saratoga’s Greatest Race” with authors Brien Bouyea and Michael Veitch. Time: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cost: Free for members, $10 for non-members. Books available for purchase.
