Presidents' Week activities at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame Feb. 19-25

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will be offering special educational programming each day from Feb. 19-25 in celebration of Presidents’ Week. Throughout this time, children 12 and younger will receive free admission with a paid adult. On Feb. 19, Presidents’ Day, everyone above age 12 will receive a special “buy one, get one free” promotional admission.

All Museum visitors during this week are invited to participate in a game and scavenger hunt related to presidents and their involvement with horses. Several presidents, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson owned and rode thoroughbred racehorses, while others such as Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy, had horses at the White House as pets for their children. President Ulysses S. Grant was known to visit with his horses daily.

Everyone who turns in their activity sheets at the Museum front desk will receive a free Secretariat wristband. The activities take place throughout Museum hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
